Outpouring Hearts and Minds through Literacy and English Proficiency

Dare to Read and Dare to Speak…
“They had nothing in common but the English language.”
E.M. Forster
Literacy does not only mean about writing, reading and speaking capabilities it has a broader meaning behind and that is to guide people towards awareness and the change which is needed in order to achieve a better way of living.
Therefore, we must have at least something to do during our free time. Try to read any book, make your own story or compose a song. That’s even better because doing those some sort of things can broaden our ideas. We can also express our feelings and thoughts from here.
Meanwhile, speaking English makes it possible for us to gain confidence and stand out among the rest of the nations in the world. Filipino’s seek jobs for survival; we know the fact that most jobs nowadays require applicants to be good in English. Proficiency in the English Language is also beneficial when we want to seek employment in other countries for instance.

These are some of the reasons why we should learn and improve our skill in speaking and writing in English no matter how crooked it is. Anyway, there’s no harm in trying right? So just dare to read and dare to speak.

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities

“I am a free man, I have the rights of freedom and I wanted to be free.” Well hundreds of times we want that to utter and millions of times we want it to be guaranteed. We are all human beings who have rights and liberties that cannot justly be violated by others.
Nevertheless, discrimination occurs and we can’t avoid it for this is still one of the major problems in our society. But, we have that Democratic system; we have the free will and equal representation of people. Yet, we have it equally; no matter what is your state here in our society either you’re rich or poor. Those on higher authorities shouldn't rule us for we have those rights to bear that in mind.
No one should threaten and deprive us from our right. Although, we must forget one’s insecurity and give them the rights to maintain that equal opportunities as we were created by God equally.
